bowling and tennis clubs. [by telegraph. —own correspondent.] TE KUITL. Wednesday. In spite of unfavourable weather the Te Kuiti Bowling and Croquet Club held its opening on Saturday. The president, Mr. G. Hitchcock, stated that the club had 30 new members. The annual meeting of the Tennis Club elected the following officers .-—-President Mr. M. Matheson; vice-presidents, Messrs J C. Rolleston, G. Hitchcock and C. M. Bathgate; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. Tr VVylie; committee. Mrs. Fisher, Miss D. Barr, Messrs. Benge, Bennetts, Powdrell, Stringer and Tate; auditor, Mr. Robinson. It was dee ded to open the season on October 17.
