THE CARINTHI A'S CRUISE. EXTENSIVE PROGRAMME. NEW YORK, Sept. 30. " See Australia in a day " is the slogan of the wealthy American tourists who are leaving; on October 20 in the 20,000ton Canard liner Carinthia, the first round-the-world tourist vessel to visit Australia and New Zealand. The programme includes Los Angeles, Sa;i Francisco, New Zealand ports, Hobart, one day in each of the Australian capitals, then Java, China, Japan, India, Egypt, Italy and the Riviera. The Australian Trade Commissioner, Sir James Elder, is supplying the steamer with huge; quantities of literature descriptive of Australia.
