DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.
SEVERAL SHOPS BURNED. NEW SOUTH WALES TOWNSHIP. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 10.35 p.m.) SYDNEY. Oct. 6. Fire destroyed a number of shops in the main business block at the township of Gunnedah, 296 miles north-west of Sydney. The damage is estimated at £15,000.
