THE LOCAL BODIES' LOANS ACT. 1013. PROPOSED LOAN OF £650,000 FOR ELECTRICAL DEV'ELOPM EXT WITH IN THE AUCKLAND ELECTRIC-POtt EE DISTRICT. The Auckland Electric-Power Board hereby gives notice in pursuance of Section 9 of the above-mentioned Act: — ,1. That the several purposes for which the loan is required, are as follows: (a) Machinery. Equipment and worknecessary to convert tho system from steam to hydro-electric power. (b) The general extension of the reticulation system in the Auckland Elec-tric-Power District, including any necessary additions to Sub-stations. Machinery and Mains. 2. That the Auckland Electric-Power Board being unable to provide the necessary funds for such purposes out of its ordinary revenue, proposes to borrow sums aa follows;---(ai For Watei Power Conversion . . . . £250,000 (b) For General ExtensionPurposes £'400.000 3. That tho proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be a special rate of two-sevenths of a pennv in the pound on all ratable property in the Auckland Electric-Power District 4. That the Auckland Electric-Power Board proposes to make such i6an repayable in twenty-one (1:1) years, and proposes to make provision for the payment of a Sinking Fund of not less than Two Pounds Ten Shillings (£2 10s) per centum per annum. 5. That the Auckland Electric-Power Board proposes to pay out of such loan such costs, charges and expenses as the Auckland ElectricPower Board may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with su-eh loan and the Interest and Sinkma Fund thereon for the first year.
