DAIRY FARMERS' UNION.
Sir, —In Friday's issue of the Hekai.d there was an account of a meeting of the Lower Wai'kato executive of the Dairy Farmers' Union, in which I am named as president and the mover of a resolution re New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company's auditor's report. This is an error. Mr. W. H, Water house, of Runciman, is the president, and he moved <the resolution. I was unavoidably absent from the meeting, but had I been there I should certainly have supported Mr, McKinney, who I consider was quite correct, in his contention, that the executive was out of order in discussing the moticsn, until the resolution passed at the previous meeting had been rescinded. I am quite confident that had there been ti representative meeting, Mr. Waterhouse's motion would never have been carried. The Dairy Farmers' Union is composed of suppliers to all classes of dairy companies, and this matter of the auditor's report concerns the shareholders of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company only. Therefore it is obvious that it is not a uuion matter, and the discussion of it in the union meeting* can only cause disruption. A. GrarafEß, Pokeno Valley, October 2, 1925.
