The Waiimi arrived from East Coast ports Jast evening, and berthed at the Queen's Wharf. She is timed to sail at 5 p.m. tomorrow for Tokomara Bay, Gisborne and Napier.

Wttkln and Wallis advise that the Richardson Line i steamer Awahou is expected to leave Gisborne to-day for East Coast rwrts and Auckland. _ She is due here on Thursday and the following day she sbouicl b® despatched for the East Coast. The Kaimanawa arrived from Westport on Saturday morning and berthed at tho Central Whan to discharge part of her cargo. She will move later to the Western Wharf to complete discharge. Afterwards she retarns to Westport.

The Kstoa left Wellington at 6 p.m. on Friday for Auckland where she is due, this morning She will, berth at_the Prince's Wharf to discharge her cargo from Southern ports. KUROW DELAYED BY CREW. The Kurow was delayed at Auckland ovpr the week-end by trouble with her crew. She completed loading at the King's Wharf on Saturday evening and then went into tho stream to awaift a settlement of the trouble before taking her departure for Gisborne, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. It was hoped that she would sail during the Eight.-

PENMORVAH FROM NAURTJ ISLAND. Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane advise that the steamer Penmorvah was to leave Nauru Island on Saturday with a cargo of 6600 tons of phosphates for discharge at Auckland. She is expected *o arrive about October If!. The Penmorvah recently discharged a cargo of Seychelle Island guano in New Z sal and and then bunkered at Westport before proceeding to Nauru Island for her present cargo. TREWYN FROM NEW YORK. Bringing cargo from New York under the auspices of the A. and A. Line, the Ham steamer Trewyn reached Colon on frriday, en route to Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is.due at this port about October 30. The New Zealand Shipping Company are the local agents.

The Huddart-Parker steamer UJiinaroa sailed from Sydney for Auckland at 2 p.m. on I?riday. The vessel has on board 187 passengers, as well as mail and 1800 tons °1 cargo. Included in the latter is 12,0001t. oi timber and 2100 cases of fruit. She is clue to-morrow evening. KENT IN THE STREAM. H.M.S. ships Dunedin and Laburnum are returning to Auckland this week after cruising amor.g the South Sea Islands. The Dunedin has been absent a month and she will arrive to-morrow. The Laburnum left Auckland on May 23, and she will return on Wedncadny. MATATUA AT LONDON. The Shaw. Savill and Albion Line steamer Maiatua arrived at London with a cargo of produce from New Zealand. She sailed from Wellington on August 19. THE HINEMOA. The Government steamer Hihemoa is expected at Auckland on Thursday or Friday with a cargo of fruit and other Island produce from Nine Island. NIAGARA REPORTED. En route from Auckland to Vancouver the Royal Mail steamer Niagara reached Suva on Saturday morning and was to resume her voyage at 5 p.m. the same day. The vessel sailed from this port at mid-day on Wednesday after being detained for 24 hours by her crew. TAHITI AT SAN FRANCISCO. The Royal Mail steamer Tahiti arrived at San Francisco from Wellington on Friday. The vessel is scheduled to sail on her return voyage with passengers, mail and cargo for New Zealand and Australia on Wednesday. She is due back at Wellington on October 26.

THE MOTOR-SHIP HAURAKI. The Union Company motor-ship Hauraki arrived at Honolulu on Friday, en route to Vancouver from Fiji. >3he loads at Pacific Coast ports late this month and early in November for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Adelaide. KARTIGI FROM MONTREAL. The Union. Company's new fteamer Kartigi was expected during' the night from Montreal. She will berth this morning at the Prince's Wharf to general merchandise to the agency of the Isew Zealand Shipping Company. Her other discharging ports are Wellington, Picton, Lyttelton and Dunedin. THE PORT BOWEN. With cargo from Glasgow and Liverpool the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Bowen is scheduled to leave the last-mentioned port on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She should reach this port about November 17.

TOFUA DUE 3 P.M. TO-DAY. The Union Company's Island steamer Tofua is due at 3 p.m. to-day from Tonga, Samoa and Fiji. After medical inspection she will berth at the Queen s Wharf to land passengers, mail, and a cargo of fruit and other Island produce. COAL FROM NEWCASTLE. The Kauri arrived at Newcastle on Wednesday to load a cargo of coal for AucklaThe Kaiwarra, which sailed from Auckland for Newcastle on Wednesday, is to load another cargo of coal for this Port. The Northern Company advises that races are being held at Whangarei on B rioay and Saturday. In order to cater for passeneer traffic to that port the fares on the Manaia will be reduced and she will be despatched at 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, returning to Auckland after the races. In consequence of the Manaia s sailing days being thereby altered the Claymore will leave Auckland for Whangarei to-morrow and Thursday PORT NICHOLSON REPORTED. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company lias received wireless advice from the Commonwealth and Dominion Lin© steamer Port Nicholson (Captain Jack), stating thai; she will reach Auckland, afc midnight on Wednesday. She is bringing a large quantity of general merchandise from Middlesboro and London and will discharge 5553 tons at Auckland. The remainder 13 for Wellington and New Plymouth. THE NGAPUHI AND RARAWA.

The Ngapuhi, after having her hull cleaned and painted, was undocked on Saturday morning. In the afternoon she sailed for Onehunga to relieve the Rarawa in the New Plymouth run. The Ngapuhi is due at Onehunga this morning and she sails for New Plymouth at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
