FIRE AT TAURANGA.
> A RESIDENCE GUTTER. r [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN' CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Friday. The residence of Mr. Thomas H. Hall, in First Avenue, was gutted by fire at an early hour this morning. Mrs. Hail was awakened by a crackling noise and discovered the house in flames. She warned the other inmates, who escaped, and then called the fire brigade by tch'* phone. The brigade reached the scene in a few minutes, but the fire tflen had a very firm hold. All the contents were destroyed or damaged. The building and contents werA insured in the Phonnix office, but Mr. HalJ will bo a heavy loser.
