THIEVES' CLEVER DODGE.
A benevolent-looking old Leigh gentleman has been the victim at Blackpool of a clever dodge by thieves. ' Noticing him on the north pier, they followed him to the aquarium, whero they put a little boy in front of him. The trick worked, for the gentleman held up the boy to see the animals, and while he did so the thieves took his wallet, containing £ls, from his inside pocket.
