The Waik&to Racing Club has fixed its annual race meeting to bo held on Saturday and Monday, November 14 and 16. Tho B «tn allottee} in prite-money amounts to £4300. The Waikato Cup of £750 holds the leading place. and it is pleasing to fipd tho distanco retained at a mile and a-haif. Tne leading sprint ovonts—Cambridge Handicap and Kirikiriroa. Handicap—are respectively worth £4OO and £.IOO, and a brace of events each of the valuo of £2OO are for the two-vear-old division, There is a brace of hurdle events each worth £2OO and an equal number of steeplechaser carry tho respective stakes of £3OO aud £250. The Waikato Hunt will hold its annual race meeting at To Rapa on Labour Day (Monday. Tho Waikato Hunt Cup stands out aa the loading ovent, and the cross-country _ event carries a stake of £660 in Bpecie. besides a gold cup of the value of £IOO. The Hunters' Hurdle Race is worth £350, while the Members' Memorial Handicap, to be tun over a mile and 8-quarter, carries a stake of £450; and the Instow Handiuap (six furlongs) of £360 is the leading simat event.
