At the annual meeting of the Canterbury Cricket Association a. recommendation was carried that „the incoming executive engage ground bowlers, to be allocated to the various clubs on different night 3. Mr. J. S. Barrett, president of the New Zealand Council, intimated that he hoped in the course of a few days to be able to say definitely that the Australian eleven en route to England would tour the Dominion.
