AUSTRALIAN WINES.
TRADE UNDER PREFERENCE. LONDON. Sept. 8. The special representative of the Sun learns that 250,000 gallons of Australian sweet wines have been sold in Britain since Mr. Winston Churchill announced the increase in preference, as compared with the sale of under 1000 gallons in 1924. Traders point out that the growth in the demand for wine is due to the continued dearness of whisky.
