OBITUARY.
MR. N J. M. REIN. ' The death occurred recently of Mr. N,' J. M. Rein, jeweller, of InvercargilL Bora in. Norway 73 years ago, Mr. JRcin came to New Zealand by the ship Star of Qhina in 1872. For two years after his* arrival he 'was associated with ' the well-known jewellery firm oi Petersons, of Chratchurch, and at tlie.end of that time he went to InvercarjriU>o Forty years ago he . established the business ,th JDee Street, and continued to personally manage it until about a month ago, when he sold out to a private company. The late Mr. Rein, was known throughout Southland as a generou citizen, .ever ready jx> assist.in any good cause. He wag, an active and consistent member of the Masonic fraternity for over 40 years, and held the high office of Grand Warden in that order. '
