BIG FOOTING !N INDIA.
CALCUTTA. Sept. 1.
Jamsetji Ardaseer Wadia, of Bombay, promoter and director of indnstriai concerns, and chairman of the Millowners' Association, said yesterday that, so far this year, the imports of Japanese piecegoods into India had been more than four times those of Britain. Such a state of aft airs, he declared, vas as much a menace to Lancashire as it was to India> and he therefore intended to visit England in order to eniiat support from Manchester.
