THE EARL OF PORTSMOUTH. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 10.S p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 8. The death is announced of the Earl of Portsmouth. •, ' , The late Earl of Portsmouth, who was born in 1859, was tho seventh holder of the title, and succeeded his brother in 1917. At one period he was private secretary to the Governor of Tasmania. He was not married. The successor to tho title is another brother, the Hon. Oliver Henry Wallop. _
