AMALGAMATION SCHEMES.
HUGE CAPITAL INVOLVED. OIL AND STEEL INTERESTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received 9.5 p.m.) Router. BERLIN. Sept. 9. Two largo commercial mergers are being arranged. One is an amalgamation of oil firms under which the Deutsche Erdoel Co. is to take over the interests of the Deutsche Petroleum and the Ruetgerswerke Companies. For this purpose it proposes to increase its capital from 24,000,000 marks to 35,000,000. In the other case negotiations are proceeding between five of the. largest Rhenish Westphalian steel and iron industrial concerns—Krupps, the Phoenix, the Rheinstahl, the Tliysscn and Rhein-Elbo Ujiion—for a working arrangement or amalgamation.
, It is generally surmised that the *ew company is being formed on a capital of 800,000,000 marks.
