NEW SOUTH WALES WINS.
DEFEATED.

The New South Wales Rugby team to-day defeated the Wairarapa-Bush districts combined team by 38 points to 8. The weather was fine but the ground was heavy and greasy after heavy rain overnight. The combination of the Wai* rarapa pack which had just returned from an undefeated tour in the South was upset by the inclusion of three Bush players a?id the home forwards never worked as a team. The backs' opportunities were limited but their, downfall in their poor tackling, several tries being presented to the visitors. The New South Wales forwards displayed ?ood hand and footwark and fed their ast. backs who threw . the ball about with abandon. Their thrcequarter line played splendidly. The scorers in the fkst spell were Ford, Reid and Crossman. Thorn converted one. Tries in the second spell were scored by Bbwers (three), Morrisey, Thorn and Reid. Lawton converted one and Thorn " two, while the latter also kicked a penalty goal. Jury scored a brilliant try for Wairarapa which F. Booth converted and Fairbrother scored an unconverted try.
