QUEENSLAND V. AUCKLAND.) THIS AFTERNOON'S MATCH. KEEN STRUGGLE EXPECTED. At Carlaw Park this afternoon the Queensland League football team will meet the Auckland representatives. Tho visitors have chosen a strong side to play the local thirteen, whose team comprises most of the New Zealand team of last Saturday. It is to be regretted that the popular Queensland captain, N. Potter, will be unable to lead his team to-day. Potter is confined to hia bed, suffering from a recurrence of injuries received in Australia. \»ith tho teams aa strong as those that met Inst Saturday, a fast and exciting game can bo expected. ■The Queensland team is as follows: Fullback: F'rauenfelder. Threequarters; Spencer, Gorman, Crouch, Aynsley. i -eighths; Moores. Half; Craig. Forwards: O'Mara, Henderson, Bennett, Ste i lourt, Purcell, Parcell. The Auckland team is:— t llback: Gregory. Tfiroequarters: Littlewood. Dolgroß3o, Brown, Five-eighths: Wetherall, Kirwan. Half; Webb. Forwards: O'Brien (Marist), St. George, O'Brien (Devonport). Herring. Singe, Avery. Reserves: Backs: Gardiner, Poison. Forwards: Dixon. The New Zoaland League has received advice that the Wellington forward. E. J. Carroll, will take his place as cooker in the second test match, to to be played on Saturday.
