HUNT CLUB RACES.

AN ENJOYABLE OUTING. One of the most popular Fleet festivities during the week was tho Pakurariga Hunt Club rare meeting held at Ellerslie on Saturday, when a largo number of our visitors joined tho throng of racing enthusiasts who (looked to the course at an early hour. Fortune favoured tho club as far as the weather was concerned. Tho dav was one of crystalline beauty and in the bright sunshine tho course looked most attractive with its wide stretches of green lawns and gay flower beds. Pots of beautiful flowering plants, among which were many cyclamen, decorated tho members' rooms on the stands and during the intervals between tho races there wore many visits paid to tho glasshouses which were just a blaze of colour with exquisite blooms, orchids, primulas, cyclamen and fragrant hyacinths rivalling one another in a glory of perfection. Many smart and attractive frocks were to be seen on the lawns and the stands, and some very beautiful furs were worn. Small hats of the clocho variety were a popular choice, and in particular, thoso with an up-turned brim in front and a ribbon or feather chou at the side. Embroideries in bright colours adorned most of the frocks which adhered to tho vogue for the slim silhouette. Scarves in bright colours were a universal accessory and were mostly worn knotted round the neck like tho old-fashioned stock. Black ottoman silk coats with collar, cuffs and hem of fur were a distinctive feature of tho frocking and many tailored coats were worn over frocks of marocain and crepo do chene.
