WEDDING.
A '.redding in which m>ich local interest was taken was solemnised in St. Jude's Anglican Church, Avondale, on Wednesday afternoon by Rev. F. Latter, when Mr. Thomas Strathalan Roc, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Roe, of Rosobank Road, Avoncfalc, was married to Miss May Alexandra Tregidga Costello, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Costello, of Eoberton Road, Avondale (and late of Dargaville). The bride was given away by hsr father, and was accompanied by her bridesmaids, Miss Valerie Costello (sister) and Miss Margery Jeffries; Miss Valerie Howson. flower girl; and Master Ronnie Hemus, page. Mr. Wm. Olseri ted as best innit and Mr. Stanley Morrish as groomsman. The bride wore ivory soi lascelles bordered with silver lace, shell pink georgette train worked in silver and the customary veil and orange blossoms. She carried a handsome shower bouquet. The bridesmaids wore nils green georuetto over satin with front panel of georgette and silver lace and coronets of green and silver. They carried pretty pink posies. The flower nir) wore frilled net over pink satin with rosebud trimming and wreath of pink and silver. She carried a posie of pale pink sweot peas. The page was in a cream satin Buit and carried a pink satin and silver lace cushion.
