MASSEY MEMORIAL.
FEELING AT HAMILTON
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COKIIESrONDENT.] HAMILTON. Tuesday. The opinion was expressed by the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce last evening that, in view of the fact that the Hamilton Borough Council had received no response to its appeal for subscriptions for a memorial to the late Mr. Massey, and that while it was generally recognised that a national monument was duo, the matter was one for Cabinet to deal with by way of a Parliamentary grant. It was decided to advise the Auckland Memorial Committee to this effect.
