Tho Chancollor of tho Exchequer, Mr. Winston Churchill, in the House of Commons reviewed tho national expenditure. Ho said the time had come to call a decisive halt. Tho day might come, if the nation did not prosper, when, tho wholo scalo of living must bo reduced. Mr. Churchill announced that tho new Economic Committco of threo members would consist of Lords Cohvyri, Chalmors and Bradbury. Tho first-named would bo tho chairman.
