RUTHERFORD'S FIRST HOME. As a motor-l>us was passing through Brightwater, Nelson, last week, a passcpger was pointing out various places of import and old landmarks. Ho emphasised the importance of qn© ancient structure which is. the birthplace of Sir Ernest Rutherford, tho world-famed' scientist. Such a house, said the. enthusiast, should havo some distinguishing mark to point out its significance. A fallow-passenger capped .tho suggestion by remarking, "Yes, and so it wocld b ttVo been had Rutherford been an AH Black."
