VINCENT AVENUE.
Sir, —I desire to appeal about the disgusting stalto of the water channels ;iu the lowor part of Vihcent Avenue, iUinuera. The top portion of this road la a credit, but net bo further cibwij* la the working man's area, the channels are, after a heavy downpour, bo deep that I have seriously considered placing a life belt handy in case some poor unfortunate fjhould make a false step in tho dark when rn all probability he would nearly di-own. Stagnant water, we have always been taught, breeds various varieties' of germs and with the sumiaer weil nigh hero it would be a nice breeding ground, when in all probability anti-streptococcus would be in kean demand. Old Resident,
