THE AUCKLAND CLUB. PROGRESS OF CHAMPIONSHIP. - SEMI-FINAL STAGE REACHED, The Middlemore links were in fine order on Saturday when the second rottnd of the championship and the qualifying round of * the junior championship of the Auckland Golf Club were played. The second round of the championship result#J , H. B. Lngk beat W. B. Collect, 8 and 2; li. Bartleet beat D. MacCofmiclc, 2 and is W. S. Ralph beat H. W. Tidmprah, 6 and 5; B. D. Wright beat W. N. Abbott, 2 up. ; In his" match with Tidm&rsh, Ralph played golf of a high order, and Tidmarsh, who went round in 79, was unfortunate in striking him at his best. Ralph did a splendid round of 74.
