RUGBY LEAGUE GAME.
TO-DAY'S MATCH IN SYDNEY. NEW ZEALAND SELECTION. A. nnd N.Z. SYDNEY. July 22. Tho following Now Zealand Rugby League team has been selected to play New South Wales to-morrow: — Fullback: Dufty. Threequarters: Delgrosso, Brisbane, Brown. Five-eighths: Saunders, Wetherill. Halfback: Wilson-Hall. Forwards: O'Brien, Lowry, Herring, Honery, Mouat, Avery. An additional match has been arranged for the visitors for August 15 against either Australia or New South Wales. The team to represent New Zealand against New South Wales to-day has undergone several changes among the backs. It will be noticed that Laing, the captain, is not playing, and his place at five-eighths is being taken by Saunders, of Canterbury. Laing was not in form in the first two games played. Saunders has more speed than Laing and may possibly sharpen up the. attack. Brisbane will bo found playing centre-thrcequarter iu placo of his club mate Kirwan. Brisbane is an inconsistent back, but may rise to the occasion. Webb played a very fine game at halfback against New South Wales, and it is hard to understand why Wilson-Hall is selected instead of him. However, Wilson-Hall is a very capable halfback and should do well. Tho forwards chosen are a fine lot, and can be expected to outplay their opponents again. The result will be awaited with oensiderable interest.
