DRIED FRUIT PACKING.
PROTECTION TO CONSUMERS.
LONDON. July 7. In the House of Commons the Farliampntary Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department, Mr. A. M. Samuel, informed Dr. L. Haden Guest that the Ministry for Health had asked the British ConsulGeneral at Smyrna to report on the conditions under which the handling and packing of fruit is carried on there, with a view to determining what action should be taken to protect British consumers.
