REVOLT AT SAMOS.
CAPTURE OF THE LEADERS. blockade and martial law. Reuter. ATHENS. June 8. Martial law has been proclaimed on the island of Saftios, where an insurrection broke out yesterday. This step and the landing of naval forces and troops have been well received by the inhabitants. Apparently only a small proportion of the people have joined the insurgents. Samos is being blockaded with a view to preventing the escape of the insurgent leaders. The situation does not now seem to be disquieting. The Greek Legation reports that the leaders of the revolt have been captured.
