TOM GIBBONS KNOCKED OUT. TUNNEY WINS IN TWELFTH. f (Received 5.5 p.m.) Beater. NEW YORK, June 5. The American light-heavy-weight champion, Gene Tunney, knocked out Tommy Gibbons in the 12th round of their contest to-day. Tunney kept up an aggressive attack throughout. After a minute of fighting in the 12th round die landed a crushing right on Gibbons' jaw. \ Gibbons fell heavily, and was barely able to rise before the count of ten. Tunney rushed at his opponent with another right, which landed flush to the jaw and Gibbons was counted out. This is the first occasion on which Gibbons has suffered a knock-out. Tunney turned the scale at 1811b. and Gibbons at 179|1b.
