PRINCE IN AFRICA.
VISIT TO BASUTOLAND. GREAT WELCOME PREPARED. A. and N.Z. CAPETOWN. May 29. It is estimated that 120,000 persons havo assembled at Maseru, Basutoland, to attend a great pitso, or national assembly, to greet tho Princo of Wales. Of these 80,000 are mounted on famous Basuto ponies. Heavy rain, the first experienced by the Prince on his tour, prevented the assembly being held yesterday, but it is expected to take place to-day. It will be the greatest gathering of natives yet held in the Union.
