The pieeting passed tho following resolution: "That this meeting of combined breeders recommends to the Government that a bonus on the basis of subsidy be paid toward the permanent establishment under efficient control of group' herdtesting. With reference to the proposed transference of Mr. A. W. Green from tho Ruakura State Farm several members spoke in high praise of tho work done by Mr. Green for the benefit of the farmers in tho district. Mr. Green stated that he had received intimation about a month ago of his transference from Ruakura; beyond that he was not prepared to make any public statement. He did not know definitely where he was being transferred; Tho meeting passed a strong protest against the action of tho Government in transferring Mr. Green from Ruakura, and in view of the fact that his services have been invaluable to the district, requested the department to reconsider the matter. It was pointed out that Mr. Greon was likely to be of moro service to tho farming community Ruakura than elsewhere.
