CLOSING OF THE ROLL. ABOUT 10,000 ELECTORS. WRIT ISSUED ON SATURDAY. mr. To-morrow ho will address meetings at Awhitu and Pollock, on Wednesday he will speak at Kohekohe and Waipipi, and on Thursday at. Waiau Pa and Patuinalioe. Mr. d. S. Montgomeric, the Labour candidate, spoke at Kamarama on Saturday evening, and will address a meeting at Karaka this evening. He speaks at Pukekoho to-morrow evening. Mr. G. T. Parvin, of Pukekohe, who had been asked to stand as a Liberal candidate, has declined to offer himself. A branch of the Liberal Federation has been formed at Pukekohe and officers have been elected. Wilford, Leader of the Liberal Party, has received from the Auckland Provincial Council of the LiberalLabour Federation, a resolution " That Mr. J. Ilea bo elected as party candidate for Franklin at, the general election, and that, after consultation,with leading supporters of the party in that electorate, the council decided to recommend the party executive not to take part in the by-election campaign, but to wait until the next general election, which must take place within a few months." Mr. Wilford has communicated with members of his executive and will announce their decision in the matter on Monday.
