A SUCCESSFUL REUNION. sixty-third' anniversary. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PORT ALBERT. Saturday. A successful reunion of Albertland settlers on the occasion of the sixty-third anniversary of tlio settlement was held yesterday. A large gathering resulted, notwithstanding the threatening weather. Only a small company of survivors of the original immigrants was able to attend. These, with their descendants from Paparoa, Matakohe and Maungaturoto, were entertained at luncheon and tea in the public halL A meeting of the committee of the Albertland Records Association was held during the day, Mr. T. Wilson presiding, when the secretary reported encouraging progress in the preparation of the settlement's history. A guarantee fund for publication expenses had been established and had now reached £l4O. In tho evening'a concert was given. A resolution of congratulation to the Hon. J". G, Coates on his appointment as Prime Minister was carried by acclamation.
