RETAILERS' ASSOCIATION. [iiY TEXEGRAM.—OWV CORRESPONDENT. J OTOROHANGA, Friday. The Otorohanga butter factory will close down for the winter at the end of this month. The output during the past season to .March 31, was 1270 tons, against .1027 tons the previous year. A Retailers' Association has been formed in Otorohanga, with Mr. W. B. McAdam os president, Mr. It. \V. Robertson as rice-president, and Messrs. G. England, fi. Saunderson, J. A. Parry, W. Rust and Hi Maxwell as the committee, the objects being the controlling of donations and undue credits. St. Bride's Guild of Players gave_ successful representations of Barries Ihe Twelve Pound -Look," and '"Charley s Aunt " in the Town Hall, to a large and npffrcciativo audience. The guild aims at the presentation of little plays at intervals during the season. At the annual meeting of Otorohanga County Council Mr. F. Potts was re-elected chairman for the third year m succession. His report on the last year s work shows that 12 miles of metalling of roads have been completed, and that a further 124 miles are in hand, while .0 miles of clay roitfls have received attention with the gnider. , , The estimated damage, done by the recent floods throughout Otorohanga ( ounty totals .£560.
