ROAD SPEED TESTS BAN.
Arising out of tin' two accidents at (lie Kop Hill climb, tho Royal Automobile Club, the governing body of .British motoring. has decided to suspend all permits which thev have issued for all speed contests to be. held on public roads. The reason is that it lias now boon found impossible to control the spectators, who persist in straying on the course and obstructing the competitors, thus constituting a danger to themselves and to the compel itors. Until some resolution of this problem i.s found—and it seems difficult—no speed contests will be held. .1 his bun, of does not affect competitions hold on enclosed premises or reliability trials held at the legal limit.
