The Prime Minister, Mr. Stanley Baldwin. m closing a flcbato in tho House of Commons, surprised the members by sayliif he bad good reasons for knowing the state, of industry. "My income is about one-fifth of what it was a few years ago, said Mr. Laldwin. "For the last three years I have been doing what I never did before, namely, living on my capital and borrowing."
