INSPECTION OF MIGRANTS.
NEW AMERICAN SCHEME. neuter. WASHINGTON. May 24. Immigration officials have sailed for Europe to lay plans for the inspection abroad of intending immigrants to America. The system will be inaugurated in the Irish Free State by consent of the Government, as a demonstration to other nations of the desirability of this method. If, is expected that this arrangement may make possible the abolition of the immigration stations on the Atlantic coast.
