MOTORING COLLISION.

Ii a m Featherstone, the driver of a motor-lorry, in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court yesterday on a charge of negligent driving. A similar charge preferred against J. P. Bran ton, the driver of a bus, was dismissed. The proceedings were the outcome of a collision which occurred between Featherstone's lorry and Branton's bus in London Street in March last, ii: which both vehicles wore damaged. The magistrate, Mr. H. A. Young, found that Featherston had been guilty of negligence in driving from a side street into a main street without taking sufficient care and at an excessive .speed. Branton had done all he could in the circumstances and was not to blame for the collision. Featherstone's driver's license was ordered to be cancelled for six months.
