Tyrrell, Assistant Under-Secretary to the Foreign Office, has been appointed to succeed Sir Eyre Crowe .'is Permanent Under-Secretary. Mr. ,J. I>. Gregory, counsellor of the Foreign Office, succeeds Sir William as Assistant Under-Secrctary.
