ST. PAUL'S CHURCH.
PARISHIONERS' MEETING. The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Paul's Church, Symonds Street, was presided over by the vicar, the Rev. C. A. B. Watson, and was well attended. The report of the vestry recorded a year of steady progress, remarkable for the liberality of "the gifts for the sanctuary provided by the parishioners, and the erecton over the pulpit of a handsoniG crucifix, donated as a thank-off firing in connection with the healing mission. The response to the missionary quota, it was stated, had for the third successive year exceeded the amount called for, and in addition liberal contributions had been made to various other mission funds. The church completion fund was growing ste/idily, and now amounted to £2OOO. The parish statistics for the year showed 22 baptisms, 13 marriages, 10 burials, 9 confirmations of adults, and 2881 attendances at communions. Office-bearers for the ensuing year were elected as follow Vicar's warden, Mr. A. J. Stratford; people's warden, Mr. E. C. Thomas (re-elected) ; vestry, Mesdames Hardie Noil and A. J. Stratford, Messrs. S. W. Hadlow, A. J. Horsley, H. P. Jilling, C. S. Michel, L. J. Armitage, F. Little, I. H. Richards, and A. Bagnall; representatives on Council of Christian Congregations, Messrs. H. F. Jilling and S. W. Hadlow; representative on advisory committee of central fund, Mr. A. J. Stratford; hon. auditors, Messrs. C. dork and E. J. Litt. A resolution was passed congratulating Bishop Averill on his elevation to the office of Archbishop of New. Zealand.
