FORTHCOMING MEETINGS.
THE CAMBRIDGE CLUB. The Cambridge Trotting Club's meeting, 1 which is fixed to bo held on Saturday, May 3, and at which the totalisator will be in evidence for tne first time, may.be expected to give tho sport a further good lift w tho Waikato. The C.T.C. is having everything put in order on the course, and given line weather, there r.hould bo a good attendance at Cambridge on Jlay 9. Tho sum allotted . to tho soven events which form the pro- I gramme is £675, and in. addition three silver cups form prizes. Nominations for all events to be brought off at tho meeting close on May l, at 5 p.m. NORTHLAND TROTTING CLUB. The Northland Trotting Club, which was very justifiably included among the bodies granted a totalisator permit in the recent allotment, has issued tne programme in connection with its meeting, to bo held at Kensington Park. Whangaroi, on Saturday, May 23. and with £BOO allotted in, prizemoney, that should ensure an attractive list of entries. Tho leading event . the programme is the Northland Trotting Cup, which carries a money prize of £175, and, in addition, a silver cup of thft value of £25 donated by tho Otahuhu Trotting Club From tho programme, which will be found published in full in.another column, it will be seen that nominations for all events close on Fridav, May 1. at 5 p.m.. and tne same mnv be lodged either with the Be 9f£ Mr. F. W. Webster, Whangaroi. or with Mr, R. L. Absolum. secretary Otahuhu Trotting Club, Auckland.
