LONDON, Apl. 14, An inquest concerning the death of the 16-year-old girl Grace Blackaller, who was murdered in West Kensington on Thursday evening, was opened to-day. The youth, Ernest Rhodes, who is in custody charged with murdering the girl, wept as the details of the tragedy were unfolded. The police gave evidence to the effect that the deceased had declined to divulge the name of her assailant. She said: ' I do not wish any inquiry to he made. ' The foreman of the jury raised the question as to whether the girl's life could have been saved if she had been attended by a medical man earlier. He said 35 minutes had elapsed between the time when she called her mother and when she was seen by a doctor. The Government pathologist, Hr. Bronte, said that if the bleeding had been stopped when deceased received her wound the presumption was that shu would have lived. The coroner said the girl's mother was staggered by the occurrence. Sho had applied a towel to the wound and had done all she could for her daughter. The inquest was adjourned.
