LAND FOR SHEEP.
BIG QUEENSLAND AREA. TO BE CUT UP SHORTLY. The Dillalah State. Station, the property of the Queensland Government, is to be handed over to the Lands Department on December 31 It will -then be made available for closer settlement for sheepraising. The station consists of 504 square miles. The Lands Department is already designing it into blocks of 10,000 acres or more, according to the quality of the land, and it is probable that the Minister lor Lauds will stipulate that a certain area in each block shall be placed under cultivation. Cattle and horses now on Dillilah station will be transferred to other stations, or sold as the opportunity offers.
