FOOTPATH CONSTRUCTION. QUESTION OF RAISING LOAN. The Glen Eden Town Board mot 011 Tuesday evening, Mr. <T. M. West presiding. There were also present, Messrs. J. 11. Pugh, S. W. Bourne, W. E. Martin, J. Evvington and J. Hayes. It was decided to consider the raising of a loan for construction of footpaths as there was no prospect of the necessary ■work being done out of revenue. Fees for building permits were discussed and it was decided not. to levy any charge for permits to erect poultry houses, cowsheds or outhouses costing less than £so', The hoard decided to allow tho use of S Bin. ksuri weatherboards for building purposes us is the case in the city. Complaint ivas made, that a number of Souths made a practice of riding bicycles On the footpaths to the danger of pedestrians, especially young children. It. was decided to communicate with the police asking that action be taken with a view to making an example of offendets.
