IMPORTED MACHINERY.
UNION " BLACK " THREAT. The decision of the Victorian State Electricity Commission to purchase a number of transformers from Sweden in preference to transformers mado in Australia or Great Britain was strongly condemned at a meeting of the Electrical Trades Union a week or twp ago. A large section of the members favoured declaring the transformers "black" immediately on their arrival in Australia. A decision, however, was deferred.
