FOREMAN ASSAULTED.
INCIDENT AT DEVONPORT. COURT IMPOSES FINE. " I just lost my temper and I apologised to him afterwards," was the statement of Alfred Shuker, in the Police Court yesterday, when he admitted assaulting Spencer Frederick Reynolds. Accused was employed on road construction work at Devonport, said Sergeant Rowell, and about 7.30 o'clock that morning ho was instructed by the foreman, Mr. Reynolds, to go to another job. He lost his temper and violently assaulted the foreman. "Ho certainly expressed regret for his action, but Mr. Reynolds was knocked about, so we brought Shuker here," the sergeant added. Mr. Reynolds appeared in Court with a discoloured eye. Accused was fined £5, in default 14 days' imprisonment.
