The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—" Present indications aro for variable winds, moderate lo strong, north-easterlies to north-westerlies prevailing northwards of New Plymouth and Napier, and north-westerlies to southwesterlies elsewhere; weather fair to cloudy generally, but, changeable and showery in west coast and southern districts.
