AUSTRALIAN REVENUE.
EIGHT MONTHS' SURPLUS. Returns of the (Just,cms revenue of the Commonwealth show that for the first eight" months of the financial year there lias been a surplus of revenue of £2.452.510 over the estimate of the Federal Tieasurer. The actual Customs revenue for the eight months ended on February 28 was £25,119.176. The amount collected during the eight months showed an increase of £956.987 over that for the similar period of last financial year, but the collections last mouth (£2,955,502) showed a decrease of £134,874 on the, collections in February, 1924.
