Hanan announces that he ivill not, seek re-election for Itivercargill in the next Parliament, as he intends residing in Dunedin. where his sons are studying at the University. He has represented Invercargill for an unbroken period of 25 years. Though leaving Invercargill he will not be retiring from public life.
