VALUELESS CHEQUE ISSUED. MAN SENT BACK TO GAOL. [BIT TEI.EGIUI'H.--, OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WHAN OA RBI. Monday. William Ingram, a man from Portland, was sentenced to one month s imprisonment for issuing a valueless cheque with intent to defraud, and for breach, of his probation order. Accused had been released on probation in January after being sentenced to two years' imprisonment on seven charges of false pretences.
