The difficulty so far as obtaining a crew for the intercolonial steamer Marama is concerned, was reported to-day as beu.g overcome, and the vessel was expected to sail for Sydney at 8 o'clock this evening. However, she did not get away as was anticipated, but it is hoped to despatch her to-morrow. The crew is 15 short of the required complement. The men who brought the Moeraki across on her last trip will not return to Sydney by the Marama, a guarantee to this effect having been given to the crew of the Marama by the Union Company. When this fact was conveyed to the Manama's crew they expressed their willingness to rejoin the ship, and they signed fresh articles this afternoon. It is understood that the members of the Moeraki's craw have been finally paid of! at Wellington and that each man has received a sum of £ls from the Union Company in order that he may return to Sydney at the earliest possible opportunity, as an ordinary steerage passenger. All but four or five members of the Moefaki's crew accepted this condition. These few men an still being paid the ordinary rates of pay, 6s 6d per day.
